Bio: For years Karen was a self taught artist who explored many different mediums from playing and writing music, and filling sketch pads, to making stained glass and painting. Eclectic by nature, one interest was not enough. After working in finance for a number of years, she decided to go full circle and make art and design a full time career and began that journey. Since then she has completed her Bachelor of Design at NSCADU, has combined her business skills with art and design and launched Karen Gaudet Graphic Design, and paints from her home studio.
Artist Statement: Karen's often minimalist work is explorative in nature, and with every painting she challenges herself to learn something new. She enjoys a generous application of medium, a surface full of textures and surprises and an abundance of rich, luscious colors. She draws much of her inspiration from such artists as Georgia O'Keefe, Gustav Klimpt, Modigliani and Franz Klein.

Because my graphic design work has taken the front seat I will regrettably be ending the two year relationship with PhotoStockPlus and will no longer be renewing once my contract has expired, instead I will be taking another baby step and branching forward to my own site http://www.karengaudet.com, which is now up and running and under construction to add Fine Art.
