I regularly partake in karaoke competitions (yes, I can sing, too, albeit there are MANY much better than me :), and I had the pleasure of photograhing several competitions along with "fun nights out".
I take and share these photos not to make money (I've yet to sell any of the karaoke photos) but rather simply as a way to share with everyone the photos I've taken. Also, rest assured, that should anyone purchase a photo from one of these events, people generally do not buy photos of other people - they buy photos of themselves and photos of themselves with friends.
I always make it a point to let people know this whenever I am shooting at karaoke, and I've made it a point to give MANY of the photos to those I've photographed (just check my karaoke friends, many who use my photos as their myspace avatars at one point or another).
All of this taken into consideration, if you see a photo of yourself here that you'd rather not have up, please feel free to contact me and I'll gladly remove it.
